How Not To Suck at Meetings

Down to earth title, LOL.

Actually one of the better articles I've read about meetings.  Some of it you've probably heard before, but it's not low level or lame even reminding you of those things.  And some other points are great thoughts I wish everybody tried or at least attempted.

For example, giving back... looking for help, and look at creative options like using online tools to help with meeting minutes.  Nice read :-)

Delete the ScrumMasters? ??

Business Craftsmanship

A deep thought... but I like his thinking...

I especially with his comments that a team doesn't need another barrier or layer between them and the customer- or the rest of the business. And, that a Scrum Master is not a.. "master"; rather, he should be a guide, a helper, a mentor.

The deeper thought however is that maybe this role should go away entirely. Shocking to think of at first, but then again-- it's hard to argue that we should consider that if we want to think of ourselves as being agile.  Isn't that what retrospectives are for, and the mantra to adapt, adopt? Perhaps something we start including in SCM training-- that our goal should be that we help "work ourselves out of out job".  Vis a Vi, that we coach, lead and train the team to no longer need a SCM, and instead can naturally do and perform all of the behaviors that the SCM brings to the team.  That is a concept that I think is hard to argue.
